I've always had a love affair with style, from exploring it through my creativity, to a way of being.  It satisfies my curiosity and allows me to create with freedom. From custom floral head pieces with fresh flowers from my garden to baking from my inspirations and creating conceptual pieces of art.  I create from my heart and for myself without asking if someone will buy it, and that's a priviledge I gift to myself through my own style.  Life for me is far deeper than making a profit.  I experience a life of peace, and create from an inspired mind, only for me and not for anyone's validation, and that allows me to stay authentic to my style.

Creating individual pieces of conceptual art with fresh flowers and foliage is always a pleasure.  Over the years, I've created wearable art pieces, that have been challenging but always look beautiful, from clutch bags to jewelleries for special events.

Sometimes, I make statements with my botanical arts to raise awareness for issues that are close to my heart.  You can read more about them on my Nature and Planet Earth page.
It's no secret that I love to cook and eat, although I don't always choose the healthy options.  Whenever I have a spare minute, I like to create my lunches, dinners and desserts like works of art from my organic garden, even if I'm eating alone.  It satifies my curiosity for design and my love of play.

Taking inspiration from nature, I love designing sets with fresh flowers, foliages and natural materials.  Over the years, I've created many different sets, but they all have one common theme... natural.  From growing my own wild mushrooms on logs in my garden, to cultivating natural moss on wooden structures, it takes a lot of planning and a lot of time to re-create nature for events, but the finished results with all the authentic details always look stunning.  I've picked a handfull of my past set designs to showcase on this website.

Thousands of fresh roses and hydrangeas went into creating this wonderful fresh floral set at London Fashion Week.  Oh and there were dozens of camellias from my gardenI too.  I collaborated with fashion designers Kristian and Hila for weeks prior, to ensure that I designed every part of this set to compliment their designs perfectly.  Often I invited students from my flower school to join my team, so they could gain real life experience with creating sets for live events.

I absolutely loved creating this Amazon Rainforest set at London Fashion Week with fresh tropical flowers and foliage.  Out of all the sets I've ever created, this is one of my all time favourites.

Throughout my life, many beautiful people have inspired and helped me on my journey, sometimes without them even realising what they've done to help, just like at times we may all help someone without knowing.  Whenever someone helps me in some profound way, I create something for them as a thank you.  They could be a complete stranger, an acquaintance or a friend, it really doesn't matter who they are, what matters is that I'm grateful for the crossing of our paths, no matter how brief or long lasting that may be.

Whenever I get a chance, I hand make artisan chocolates, create (my old favourite range) gift boxes of fresh flowers from my garden, tailor a piece of JC, or give my time to offer my gratitude to the kind people in my life.

When I lost a dear friend during the pandemic, I was pretty lost.  From going into auto-pilot mode to my brain shutting the door on creativity.  Until one day I was scrolling through social media, and clicked on a musician's profile, I know online.  I must admit, I never actually watched the visuals. I was making a coffee and decided to take it out into my garden whilst staring into nothingness and just listening to an amazing musician playing her strings online.  Her music opened the floodgates to my emotions, those few minutes triggered the start of my healing process.  I believe actions are far more powerful than words, so with that sentiment, I'd rather show my gratitude through my actions.  Although I've never said how much she helped me on a personal level, as I've never met her in person, so we are not friends, but I did send a message with an offer of a JC Bespoke suit, as my little way of a thank you, whenever she is ready.

In 2019, whilst I was having a heart attack, a dear friend of many years came to my rescue and he managed to handle the situation with calmness, and I received immediate medical attention from the emergency services.  After surviving cardiac arrests and having stents on separate occassions with stays at the hospital, I recovered, and it took me a while to figure out how to thank him.  I eventually expressed my grattitude as a friend and a creative with a capsule JC wardrobe, along with my devilishly delicious opera cake.

The above examples are just two from many instances of how the kindness of others have helped me in my life, and for me it's important to convey my gratitude to those people the best way I can through my creativity.  I certainly don't need to list the times I've done things to help others over the years, whether someone knows it or I've helped annonomously.  Whenever I help, it's through my creativity or my time in some way, without any expectations.  And that's the beauty of kindness, people who are genuinely kind, it's a way of being for us, it's automatic, it's our style, so we don't need to shout about everything we do for others or be validated for it.  And I definitely don't need to list the times when I walk away from negative situations, and on instances when my kindness is mistaken for weakness.  I live with all my realness and sometimes that burns me, but I'm at peace with that, as I will always transform a negative experience into a positive lesson that I'm grateful for.  My dad was a great philanthropist, who helped thousands through the world of medical science in developing countries, and instilled a kind way of living to his children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren.  I may never be at his level, but I'm happy with where I am in life and how I'm able to help others.  Whenever someone is kind towards me, I reciprocate that, as I recognise how rare they are.
